Dressing for the Party

So Marcus was bothering me the other day. He has this event he needs to go to– definitely not his usual sort of thing, and he wanted some advice.

Hm? Alright. What kind of party?

What? This won’t work? Why not?

Oh, it’s a fancy party. High-ticket, need to look classy:

Marcus says: No. He has to be wearing a dress.

Why? Plot reasons.

Okay:

No, no, no. He says he has to be able to run, and climb, and jump, and fight, and… all right. No need for further details.

Also he wants to look sexy, and not like the First Emissary’s great-aunt, if we don’t mind.

So what about–

It’s an evening party, not a garden party, he says.

What about–

Marcus says he’s already worn something just like it to a College party and he’d like to do something different this time.

Also that he’s keeping it, thank you.

Ooh! Now that’s interesting, for sure… maybe the last one is fancy enough but Marcus just said something about: dress, fancy, look good, action-oriented… and being able to sort of blend in with the fancy people. Not tooooo noticable.

Okay– What about this?

Marcus says: pretty close, but it’ll stain. And those sleeves!

This?

He’s finally happy:

Next up: Let’s see how well he matches his date.
