I don’t know how Cyrelian isn’t dead yet – at least he was able to drink something this time. I was afraid he was going to dehydrate himself until he turned into a draugr!

Ahtar is one sexy guy, that’s for sure, and Cyrelian has been wanting this for so, so long. And then he was able to doze a little, too! So maybe he will live to fight…and love…another day! 🙂

I always enjoy a little lovemaking session – good segment! 🙂

    Well, thank you!

    Draugr– I didn’t think about that! Hmm…

Nope, he won’t be a draugr, poor guy. He will be a pretty sick pup in a bit, though.

At least I’ve finally figured out how to get him out of Solitude! Good lord that took forever. Once I finish the Hjaalmarch segments and get him on his way to the Pale/Winterhold, I will probably move to another POV character for a bit. Not sure yet if I will pick one or several.

Honestly the rule is, do the writing, then post incrementally, but I have only the foggiest idea where this thing is going, lol. Still having fun, though.

  3. That was nice and I am so totally envious lol

    Dang, Tina.

No, but really, that was very sweet, every bit as good as I was expecting 🙂

Thanks– I’ve got two more till I need to go back to the drafting board, so I’m gonna have to space them out a bit.

But it’s all good– I’ve got a lot of pics I want to take

Now for some sweet, sweet Cyr/Ahtar smut. *rubs hands like garbage raccoon*

“it is embarrassing. I almost failed to get Ahtar all the way downstairs. … My hands were under his cuirass-bases and he had the tunic off me before we negotiated the stairwell…but I am braver in the thought than in the deed.” I loved this introduction. It so perfectly encapsulates Cyrelian’s headspace – impatient and hungry for Athar, yet still unwell and bound by bad memories.

“He kissed along my face and neck and chest as we lay there, now moving gently. My eyes settled closed. My skin sparked pleasure everywhere he touched. It was difficult to distinguish his body from mine; myself from the rug; the rug from the floor. I could feel the very earth breathing– it would have been a mystical experience, I think– but for my occasional uncouth noises. I fancied I could hear the vaulted stonework echoing back my yips and gasps.”

This part is gorgeous. I love these passages with Cyr, where lust and spirituality mingle – perfectly in tune with the magicka-proficient Altmer and so wonderfully evocative.

“And rubbed my ear between rough thumb and forefinger, with the same languorous rhythm of his hips, advertising what he could do if I let him in.

Now I was crying out, and the stonework echoed in truth.”

Honestly, the whole flow of this chapter is phenomenal, and it’s due to passages like this – wonderfully sensual and focused, and each sentence does it in a new and unique way. You avoid so many of the mainstays that I myself am guilty of, and it makes it such a wondeful read because of it.

“I pulled him hard into the kiss, neck and shoulders tensed. Our teeth cracked against each other and he grunted, pulling back a little. It was a contest for a few seconds, a little war between us; then he yielded the advantage so sweetly that I cried out again, though this time it was muffled, soft and low.”

I really love the dynamic of Cyr and Ahtar through this chapter. Ahtar, the ever-patient, gentle-yet-direct teacher to Cyrelian’s vulnerable yet impatient student. This chapter had so many tender, raw and real moments, from Cyrelian’s little epihanies when Ahtar goes down on him to their quiet embrace, and each one was a delight to read.

“I have no resistance to his kisses. They are moon-sugar and brandy.

All of my skin is hungry for his.”

You can just feel the want coming from Cyrelian here. To be honest, I don’t blame him. Ahtar’s a piece and this sounds delicious.

“”So what was all that bullshit about Lovriten?” he asked. “Is he really dead?”

“I imagine so,” I said. “No one’s wasting a binding-stone on him. It’d be pretty much a full-time expenditure of magicka for at least two mages to keep him in stasis like that. Alteration spell to stop the rot and an illusion-mechanic to simulate movement’d be a lot cheaper for the same effect.”

“You’ve… thought about this,” Ahtar said.

    Oh, yes. I had.”

Agh. This is both perfect Ahtar and Cyr dialogue, here. Also…that is a grim fate, indeed. I really enjoyed their break, here – the soft vulnerability of their conversation, and Cyr still not completely letting himself trust the man he’s involved with – or maybe even trusting himself *with* him? It’s clear here that Cyr’s smitten, and he realises the very real consequences.

“He nuzzled me. “I’m kind of a hound,” he growled softly. “Always on the hunt.” I shivered.”

Oooh, this was some deliciously seductive Ahtar right here. Woof.

“When my crisis broke it was absolute, and drew me straight down to Oblivion.”

Such a succinct and perfect way to describe it. Poor Cyr must’ve been done in after that.

““Here,” he said, unnecessarily tossing one on my chest, and nudged me in the side. “Get cleaned up.”

“Go away.” My eyes stayed closed. ”

Gods, I love how much of a brat he is. He’s lucky Ahtar’s so damn patient.

What a chapter. The smut was incredible (seriously, I’ve read it more than a few times), as was the development of Cyr and Ahtar’s relationship. I can’t wait to see how their dynamic develops, and if Cyr can push through his own mental barriers and/or become a better student.

It occurs to me that I may have to go back and tweak the chapter I just threw together that’s Ahtar’s POV– it kind of has to be, he’s the only one present– Cyr’s not really conscious and Erdi’s off adventuring.

Well, suffice to say that with some people their virtues are their vices, if that makes any sense at all. They’ll run into some trouble on account of it. I think. Still thinking about it. One thing that’s true, people tell you who they are, if you listen.

Also Cyrelian is probably the least patient Altmer ever. Well, second or third least, maybe. He’s got younger siblings who are arguably worse.

As always, appreciate your taking a look! It does help me see if’n I’m on the right track. I’ve got to go brush up on the smut; it’s been a bit since I’ve written any.
