Skyrim SSE Landscapes 1– Ivarstead and Whiterun Hold

So I am continually astonished at how lovely SSE is at landscapes. These screenshots were actually one of my initial modding walkthroughs and are not what I’d consider a really finished setup. Many of them have vanilla textures here and there and I hadn’t even turned off my UI, so you may see elements of that in places.

Unfortunately I do not recall which ENBs are in which pictures. If it’s fuzzier and more soft-focus it is probably Rudy. Rudy looks amazing in-game but the way I had it set up did not translate as well into screenshots. That said, my most favorite of all of these pictures– the last one– is the one I took with Rudy.

So– weather mods are either Aequinoctum or Obsidian Weathers or Patch for Aequinoctum and Obsidian Weathers.

ENB is either Rudy for SSE or Keizaal. There may be a couple pictures with The Truth as well.

Ivarstead area–I love how the mountain shadows affect the trees here.

Notice how the mountains suddenly get better?

Yeah, we fixed that.

Majestic Mountains (Darkside)

I also like the skies over the plains and what the grassfields look like.

Sedave’s in Demand

So, somebody told the elf that Marcus and possibly others were getting special help in regards to … what does he call it? Something something “presentation” something conformance… idk

**rolls eyes**

And somehow the elf found out about Sedave–

I’m not blaming anybody here– and of course the elf found out that Sedave makes his home in the Rift. And, more particularly, in Riften. And that Sedave’s a Dunmer who lives on the canal, and.. and…and…

What?

No, Marcus, I wasn’t blaming you. I mean, the elf IS a fully trained investigative– that’s what Justiciars do. At least that’s what they’re supposed to do.

But, you’ll be pleased to know that Sedave is far too canny to answer any letters or packages from couriers and he doesn’t open his door to random Thalmor…

But, like I said, trained investigative officer.

So–

Sedave WILL open the door to cash-in-hand.

The elf wanted me to let you all know–as a courtesy, he said, in that snotty voice–that he has now sought out expert advice, so whatever advantage SOMEONE thought he might have had around here is now gone.

Mee-ow.

We’ll see, says Marcus.

So this is what happens when we do not listen to Erdi

Well, let’s just say that the photo shoot for Erdi’s first love scene did not go as smoothly as planned, and Erdi had some things to say about it.

So you spend all that time getting the props in place—what do you mean you didn’t wait around for Makeup to get in here and deal with the hair?

We’re going to have to scrap this entire set?!

There were remarks about sunburn. Erdi was Not Happy.

We told her that that’s why we pay for editing.

Erdi told us that maybe a little choreography or coaching would have gone a looong way. So many things happened that were Not Sexy.

Elbows– not sexy. Weird giant heads– not sexy. Mulling over body parts looks like you’re at some sort of practicuum– is that a tumor? And… Cyrelian? What are you doing?! Because that looks spectacularly creepy.

I said– Really, it’s not that bad, we can just crop some of that down and–

Erdi demanded that we run it by our resident expert.

Who— oh gods.

Yeah. I know. He’s right there. It won’t cost us any time if–

Fine.

Marcus?

That looks like a nay vote to me.

We had to take a break so Erdi could have a little chat about blocking:

There wasn’t a whole lot of argument with the elf; he just wanted to get this done so we’d let him have his clothes back.

And he got a little sulky with us– not everything was his fault!

Sometimes Erdi’s looking pretty awkward, too.

— Ow! that’s not a handle!

Yeah, I agree. We’re not going to be using that.

Now Erdi’s complaining that some of the face shots we got are not the most flattering:

She wants them cut.

Marcus?

Marcus says the lighting could be better.

Cyrelian wants to know why Marcus gets to sit in the shade between takes. Why does he get food? Why does–

I told Cyrelian he could have five minutes, but that’s it. We don’t want to lose the light.

Hey– Marcus? You gonna come back over here and advise?

Marcus?

Just listen to Erdi, Marcus says. It’ll save a lot of time, Marcus says…

… yeah.
