3. Cyrelian’s Embassy Party

In which our hero gets into a lot of trouble with his supervising officer and becomes the target for a lot of unpleasantry.

Trigger warnings: dubious consent (throughout), sexual violence, implied sexual violence (short scene near the end).

Also Cyrelian is rather rude at one point to someone whom he (mis)perceives as transgender.

(Attitudes of immature Thalmor officers are not necessarily those of the management…)

Cyr is quite the rascal when he gets some spiked wine punch into him. And that party was far more eventful than the last Thalmor Embassy bash I crashed.

I’m curious to know why the Dibellan priestesses spiked Cyr and had their way with him. I noticed the high priestess wasn’t present during their tryst – attempting some subterfuge, perhaps? Trying to further Thalmor/Dibellan relations? Shits and giggles? I know you’ll have a clever reasoning for everything, I just haven’t quite worked it out yet.

The end of the chapter takes a much darker turn for Cyrelian. I like how the screenshots matched that; they’re all very sombre in comparison to the more vivid, colourful party. The last line in particular was a good one – it captures perfectly his despair, when things are so bad that he’d be disappointed at a dragon not coming down to “rescue” him. Excellent foreshadowing, too.

We’ll get back to Dibella quite a bit later– it will come up again.

Unfortunately, there’s a piece of that puzzle that’s not easy to discern at this point, so I’ll have to figure out how to deal with it later. Screenshot visibility not at its best in these first few ones.

He doesn’t really need spiked anything, and he’s going to be pretty irritated when he figures it out much later.
